Priority 1 Options/Official ‘08 Ordering guide

Not ground breaking news but something that client advisors often over look are Priority 1 options. BMWNA does not openly advertise or promote these options and are often items that the majority of buyers have no interest in. To some they are what sells them on the car. Priority 1 essentially means that the car is for a specific buyer as a “sold” car. These options are not available for dealer lot cars or pre-specced cars.

We have also obtained a full copy of the dealer ordering guide which shows all the options (includes 1 and X6) so enjoy! There appears to be some added benefit of purchasing a 1 series with a production date after March as more colors will be available and some changes to equipment are being made. We will try to find out why some of these changes are being made.

BMWNA has added several new paint colors as Priority 1 options for the 5 series and released the options for the 1 Series. We at Bimmerfile thought you may be interested in some of these niche items so we will break it down by model. Pictures are scarce because they are rare in the states so we recommend using the BMW.com configurator to get some idea of the colors.

Wow - great find Michael. As much as I love the Red leather in the 1 Series, the Terracotta would be tempting.

Lemon interior looks amazing. If I had the money for a 135 I’d likely get Monaco Blue with the Lemon interior. It’d be a nightmare to keep clean but it’s stunning when it is clean.

Some pictures of the Lemon interior are here

I shy away from light interiors but have to say the Lemon interior looks sharp.

The Lemon looks/sounds interesting. But I’ve never had good luck keeping light interior looking good/clean for long.

You are right! I had a friend once step into a relatives light leather interior Volvo S60. He was wearing some brand new pair of jeans and when he got out to my surprise, the whole seat turned into a light blue leather hue!!

According to that same document, no cars other than the 5-series have Neptune Blue as an option, priority 1 or otherwise, so the BMW site doesn’t seem to have any photos of that color on any current model.

Anyone know what it looks like?

About my neptune blue comment, forget it, I found it. Sorry, when you’d said “check bmw.com” I wasn’t thinking, I assumed you meant check bmwusa.com. I found a photo on the UK site, it’s here.

The terracotta is actually pretty decent, still drawn to a Alpine white with red interior.

Yeah… tempting is one thing. Buying it is another.

    Lol, so true Gabe

so…if my 135 went into production on 2/25 and scheduled for completion on 3/04, what is the “build date”?

    Gabe Mar 1st, 2008 Link

I believe the build date would be 03/04

‘more colors will be available” after March? Are you referring to the 1er series?

    Well, I did write:

The entire ordering guide is there for you to look at as well, you will notice some colors and equipment for the 1 say SOP 03/08 which is March start of production.

    About BimmerFile

BimmerFile is dedicated to bringing you the most interesting news, links and reviews related to the BMW brand and it's vehicles.

We believe in the old school BMW ownership experience. We believe in garage nights with a six pack and some friends. We believe in 2002s, in E30 M3s and E34 540s with the 6 speed. We believe in progress in both design and engineering but we haven't lost sight of what made the brand and its products great all those years ago. And yes, we believe in the manual transmission.

We long for the days of the wave and for the days of roll-up windows. Yet we love the gadgets on the inside and the xenons on the outside.

In short, we can't get enough of BMWs. This is BimmerFile.
