CORRECTION: “All models will feature this option as of model year 2009″ is not correct. Only the models listed in the news release as reproduced above will have the feature in 2009.

As someone who works in the field of technology and is currently knee-deep in a GPS related project, this is fascinating stuff. Clearly a reason for me to wait a few months to get a ‘09 BMW. That is if course if I was considering ordering an ‘08
