Photo bmw-3-series-38 – I dig the look from the front. I like the hood line. The shapes and curves. Very nice look!

GSK- I agree! That hood adds another dimension to the car. I think the lights are a huge step in a modern techno look, still waffling about them a bit.

No waffling on the lights. I love ‘em! :o )

I like it. I’m glad to see the demise of the chrome mustache – it’s the only element of the current version I never really warmed to. And despite the general moaning and wailing about the new mirrors, I’m happy to see that they are larger and squarer. I found the view through the current ones somewhat restrictive compared to the e46’s.

The front and side look good, but I’ve never been a fan of the E90 tail lights (except on the coupe though). I was hoping they would change the sedan and touring rear lights to be more like the coupe style lights, which are awesome, imho. :-)

Something was brought to my attention… BMW used the wrong cable for the 6FL option, and in the press release it states that the only way to transfer music to the car is via the hidden USB in the glove box, NOT from the arm rest so they must have photo’d the wrong cable!

Give me a 335 Touring (Wagon/Estate) and I’m sold!

It is definitely a more interesting design than the pre-facelift E90, which is a good thing. Don’t know if I think it actually looks better but because it is less bland, I like it a lot more. And you can just tell from the new iDrive controller just how much better this version is over the previous iterations.

is it possible to do a side by side shots of the PreE90 facelift and the new?

Ive never known the E90’s that well and I dont really see any difference…

About BimmerFile

BimmerFile is dedicated to bringing you the most interesting news, links and reviews related to the BMW brand and it's vehicles.

We believe in the old school BMW ownership experience. We believe in garage nights with a six pack and some friends. We believe in 2002s, in E30 M3s and E34 540s with the 6 speed. We believe in progress in both design and engineering but we haven't lost sight of what made the brand and its products great all those years ago. And yes, we believe in the manual transmission.

We long for the days of the wave and for the days of roll-up windows. Yet we love the gadgets on the inside and the xenons on the outside.

In short, we can't get enough of BMWs. This is BimmerFile.
