The reference to 323i Touring must be in error, I don't think this exists.
While price reductions are appreciated, and content addition is welcome, if I were in the market now instead of a year ago February when I ordered an E90, I may not purchase a BMW. I bought a modest 323i with Sport package and heated seats, that's it. Now for 2009 heated seats are standard, as is cruise, fog lights, and auto air conditioner, all either optional or not available for 2007. But if the configurator is correct, there is no Sport package available for the 323i. Probably not a deal breaker for most folks, but would be for me. So fine you say, pony up for the 328i. Well here's the thing about that - it's $5K more without Sport (add $2K for that, the real difference is $7K, not chump change) and you get mandatory sunroof and electric seats, neither of which interest me. So perhaps better value across the board, but the choice appears to be dwindling in favor of Japanese style packaging. The E90 is my Wife's daily driver and she likes it, so life is good. But my interest in a new BMW is virtually non existent now.
My R50 Cooper is set to be replaced in the spring by an R56 S which dynamically is much the better car vs. the 3 series. Blasphemy to some who worship at the altar of rear drive, I know, but the FWD MINI is an astonishingly good handling car, in spite of the fact the drive wheels are at the wrong end...
Trust be known I admire both BMW stablemate offerings, but for now the E9x does not tick the right boxes for me...

"2009 Pricing and Equipment Upgrades on 3 Series Sedan and Touring 323i ..."

323i touring? Am I reading that correctly? There was only a 328xi touring until this point in the Canadian market if I'm not mistaken.
