As a 25 year old young professional, I’m insulted they thought this would appeal to me.

I agree with Gragop, that was terribly pandering and unoriginal, not to mention outdated.

The rims look cool. LOL

haha yeah, that’s about the good thing out of this video. MMMM yellow concept cars…oh wait, we’re not unveiling a Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari or McLaren so nevermind.

Gragop

You sound more like a 65 year old young professional, what’s your problem. what’s wrong with yellow?

Gragop Sep 30th, 2008 Link

Name a single BMW model that would be well suited in yellow, much less any of their SUVs…and no, the M3 would not look good in yellow.

What’s my problem? My problem is BMW trading in it’s credibility and image with crappy marketing teasers that look like something that’s suited for an after school special. That and my favorite car brand beginning to make vehicles to boost their bottom line versus enhancing their motorsports. That’s my problem. What’s yours?

Hmmm… As a 27 year old young professional, I see Gragop’s point. As I was watching the teaser I was more interested in seeing the car itself rather than how they were trying to pull me in. However, now that think of that ad as a whole, it feels like BMW and their ad agency are either trying way too hard and/or have a wrong idea of their target market.

In no way is some street-kid graffiti artist going to able to afford such a car.

I may have to disagree on the yellow, but I’ll wait and see what it looks like as a whole before making a final decision on that.

The rims look awesome.

Personally, I love Yellow and would just about kill for a yellow 135i.

Barry Sep 30th, 2008 Link

I dont know why I’m so excited about this car. Maybe the cheezy advertising was the whole damn point. Lets just wait to see the car. :) When do we see it anyway? Tommorow?

You see it NOW!

I just saw it and was pleasantly surprised. I do think the Mustard Yellow/Gold kills it. It would probably look much better in white or silver.

Gragop’s knickers are in a twist

the E36 M3 in yellow looks good to me, the E46 on the goldish yellow looks good also… the new M3 in yellow would look good. Like Lee L. said the new 135. Ad campaigns will only show you the vehicle, and grab your attention. BMW is serious on changing their reputation of, the only people that drive or can afford their cars are old farts.

About BimmerFile

BimmerFile is dedicated to bringing you the most interesting news, links and reviews related to the BMW brand and it's vehicles.

We believe in the old school BMW ownership experience. We believe in garage nights with a six pack and some friends. We believe in 2002s, in E30 M3s and E34 540s with the 6 speed. We believe in progress in both design and engineering but we haven't lost sight of what made the brand and its products great all those years ago. And yes, we believe in the manual transmission.

We long for the days of the wave and for the days of roll-up windows. Yet we love the gadgets on the inside and the xenons on the outside.

In short, we can't get enough of BMWs. This is BimmerFile.
