X3 Testing in the Alps

Here we see BMW engineers putting the F25 X3 through some tow testing. This photo was taken on the infamous Großglockner High Alpine Road in Austria. Towing a heavy trailer while on a road with great vertical angles and sharp turns is just par for the course with a BMW SAV driver, so it is nice to see the engineers doing real-world tests for these situations! This next generation X3 will be built in the USA at the Spartanburg, SC plant.

Not exactly a pretty shot. Not at all happy with the recent design of the sweeping rear roof line. Every time I see it my eye and brain think coupe yet undeniably its a SUV(SAV). Cross dressing in the automotive sense lol
