ReplyWe’ve seen the early 90’s era pictures but until now never had official confirmation from BMW that the car was ever built. However today, the M division finally revealed that BMW considered building the car to compete against the large Mercedes convertibles of the day. The project was cancelled just weeks before it was to be unveiled at the Geneva motor show because of the thought it was harm sales of the highly profitable 3 Series convertible.
