We also uncover some of what’s in store of 1 Series fans in the way of M versions. In short, a lot. You’ll want to listen if you’re interested in a lightweight, high performance M product that costs less than the current M3.

Great show, never tire of ///M talk.
A 1M does sound interesting but I do have to say that the one criticism I have for the BMW family of cars are that they are just plainly portly. A lighter weight 1 series is a great idea though and I will look forward to more info on this product as it comes along.
Actually in many ways look forward to seeing the F20 although I am a tad nervous that the “anti-bangle” pushback is causing BMW down a quite conservative design path. Something that could be less than stellar over the long run for both the BMW and Mini brands.
