You guys got me all excited about this, but it looks like the dealer cost did not drop (just as I had feared). This means you may get a discount from your local dealer, but a discount place like Tischler isn't going to be able to sell things for much cheaper.

No drop in dealer cost means no price drop for the educated shopper. Bummer.

Bimmer1- I am not sure if 20-30% more is realistic as these prices are competitive with the likes of Dinan and Turner (the other top brands in my opinion); these tuners complete R&D and test products for longevity, they are also cheaper than some EU tuners. As for the warranty- anything can void a warranty and unlike other brands the parts are warranted for the remainder of 4 years 50K or the 2 year accessory warranty- if there is an issue you get a new piece. The parts themselves carry the warranty unlike some others brands that are 30 days and you are SOL...

I love the idea of a BMW Performance line, however the prices still need to come down a lot more for them to really impact the market. Another 20-30% cut and they will be a vaild choice for enthusiasts. You can't really tout the warranty coverage here either, as none of the parts listed above would void your warranty anyways, so that's a moot point. Keep those prices coming down so they are 10% over the competitors price and people will be willing to pay for it. Until then, BMW-P sales are going to be weak.

[...] tuning products that help make our cars our own. BMW Performance does just that. With the recent pricing decreases and a standard warranty these parts seem like a no brainer to anyone looking to tune their car. [...]
