Truth be told Mercedes jumped the gun with their Shooting Break ahead of BMW. When launched as a production car it will become a member of the 6er family and be marketed as simply BMW 6er Gran Coupe. There are many people that want an $80K car to look more sporting and while offer added functionality- this is where the 6 GT would fit. VW has been successful with the CC and MB with the CLS, this is not all that different.
