BimmerFile Exclusive: BMWNA to Offer 1M for European Delivery

BMW 2002

We have just been informed that BMW will be offering the 1M as part of the BMWNA European Delivery Program. The final details have not been ironed out yet but once production slots become available the system will allow sold cars to be entered as European Deliveries.

This is great news for us enthusiasts as the 1M is directly targeting us as the market and there is no better way to pickup a new BMW than at the Welt in Munich. Having completed three Euro Deliveries myself I cannot preach enough on how great they are.. so now not only will you be getting a fantastic vehicle but we now know you can drive it in the fatherland!

There is more news on the 1M and European Deliveries coming in January. Stay tuned.

Fantastic news! This could greatly move me closer to my final decision. Would love to add some Ring time to it before its shipped back festooned with an well earned Ring logo on it heh.

I think there is one way that is better to take delivery of an M product. At the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg, SC. That place is awesome!

    • Performance center is great but you don’t do anything with your own car on the track if I remember correctly. Also, you can do a Euro Delivery and then Performance Center as well.

There is nothing that rivals getting a car in Munich.

Euro delivery= The ‘Ring and a lot more.

    In for ED and PCD…

On that note, I just listend to the 1M podcast. You mentioned that this car will be a 2012 model and only sold in 2011. I am not due for a new car until spring ’12, any thoughts on end of production of the 1M? I know that it is crazy to be thinking about end of production before we even have real production information.

That said, I’ll swap-a-lease or double-up for a while if I have to.

It looks like 1M production could spill into 2012 by a month or two.
