BMW F20 1 Series in Valencia Orange

Here it is, the Valencia Orange… 118i? It would seem that something was lost in translation when BMW claimed that Valencia Orange was to be an exclusive on the 1 Series M Coupe. Instead we have the 1.6L F20 118i finished in the now much less mythical Valencia Orange. You can see more in the video after the break.

I too feel sorry for the people who have VO 1M coupes on order.

Another reason why white is the only choice for a 1M- VO is for suckers…

  • Pure Awesomeness

“Valencia Orange will be exclusive for 1M” (Fine print) “…in US market” (Finer print) “…for E82″(Read) “Fair game for successor Mwhahaha”

I see Michael above being utterly blunt on VO. And I know Gabe has been even more blunt by NOT ordering a VO. So I won’t hold back either: VO is a horrid colour for the 1M (and not that much better on the F20). On the 1M, VO is a lost opportunity as it should have been either a non-metallic orange to give the car a very racy look (a la Porsche Cayman orange) or a non-metallic red like Imola (first choice) or even Crimson (second). I’ll go further, while the metallic black is “ok”, it should have been either not offered at all (because it is boring as hell and hides the curves of the car) or at very least been a non-metallic black. White is the only colour that does the 1M justice. Speaking of which, I saw my first 1M a couple of weeks ago… on the 401 between London and Windsor, driving south… even at a distance you could tell it was NOT a 135i because of the MASSIVE rear fender flares. Looked fantastic and almost custom in its exaggerated bulging fenders and “square stance”. And it was white.  🙂

I’m seriously looking forward to you getting your 1M and reading all about it by the way!

AND… if you find a way to get the BMWPerformance seats imported and fitted, I want to know all about that too (would love to eventually swap those into my 335i in lieu of the Sport Seats; Sports seats are a very good seat overall.. with the right tilt angle, fully extended seat cushion, and pinching the side bolsters in, you get a reasonably hand-drawn facsimile of a racing bucket… but BMWPerf seats are racing buckets).

Could someone in Germany hypothetically send them as a gift via mail? Just an idea….. of course with a use at your own risk waiver.
