Update 3 (a few hours to go)

The Nordschleife is once again living up to its reputation as the toughest circuit in the world. With roughly four hours of the race remaining, the number 20 BMW Z4 GT3 rolled into the pits with drivetrain problems. At this point, the BMW Team Schubert car was running in second place.

The car rejoined the race 43 minutes later in 12th place. The best-placed BMW Z4 GT3, in sixth overall, is currently the number 29 car belonging to the Marc VDS Racing Team.
The Belgian team’s car is followed in seventh place by BMW Team Vita4One’s number 18 BMW Z4 GT3. The works-supported team’s second car (number 17) dropped back through the field following a crash during the night, but is still in the race.
The second BMW Team Schubert car (number 19) continues to fight its way back up the standings and now lies in tenth. The BMW Z4 GT3 lost over 50 minutes in the early hours of the morning due to technical problems.

Update 2

The BMW Z4 ‘s of Team Schubert are setting the pace. The number 19 Z4 is leading overall, and the number 20 Z4 is a lap down holding on to 4th.

The official BMW supported team came through the first eight hours of the endurance classic unscathed. The unscheduled pit stop in the early stage of the race means that car number 19 is running on a different pit stop strategy than the other front-runners.

The second BMW Team Schubert car (no. 20) is currently running in seventh. The two BMW Z4 GTs of BMW Team Vita4One, which is also supported by BMW Motorsport, are also in promising positions: Car number 17 enters the second race day in 14th, while the no. 18 car is running in 10th.

Marc VDS Racing Team may only have lined up with one BMW Z4 GT3 (no. 29). However, the Belgian team is also in touch with the leaders in 13th place.
