Automotive News is reporting that BMW is seeing early demand in Europe that may cause it to increase production dramatically. According to BMW, it already has 8,000 orders for the EV a month before it goes on sale. Compare this to the 10,000 total units it had expected to sell in Europe and it’s pretty obvious that BMW has a hit on its hands even before the car has made it into showrooms.
Based on our time with the i3 we had wonder how it wouldn’t be a massive hit for the brand. Full of technology, character (if not beauty) and surprising performance, the i3 could also be a surprise hit for US dealers as well.
