The fine folks at Bimmerpost have it on good authority that the M2 (which debuts in LA this November) will come in four colors and one interior trim. Exterior colors will be:
Black Sapphire metallic
Long Beach Blue metallic
Mineral Grey metallic
Reportedly inside you can get any color you like as long as it’s black leather with blue stitching. These options are of course inline with M’s philosophy on the 1M as well where there were three exterior colors and black with orange stitching inside.
Under the hood we’re still expecting an N55 derived inline six producing around 365 hp and 343 lb-ft. Like the 1M the engine will also feature an overcast function temporarily giving the car an extra 25 lb-ft. Whether the engine is “twin-charged” or will feature two turbos like the 1M we don’t know.
Production commences in November with U.S. deliveries beginning in the early spring of 2016. EU deliveries should start in December.
