Watch the BMW M4 DTM Sets One of the Fastest Nurburgring Laps Ever Recorded

As part of a recent promotion with Shell Helix, Augusto Farfus Jr. drove a few sweepstakes winners around the Nurburgring Nordschleife. As racers are prone to do, things got a little out of hand and Augusto begin to lap faster and faster until, what you see above happened. a 6:14 time from Bridge-to-Gantry is as close as we’ll get to a full lap time out of a DTM. But to give you an idea of just how fast that is, the track record of 6:11 was set in 1983 by Stephan Bellof in a Porsche 956. Granted that was all 13 miles and 154 corners of the Nordschleife.
