The X Coupe: Ahead of its Time or Behind the Curve?

BMW super spy Scott27 (Herr26 on BF) is at it again this time feeding rumors about the much maligned X Coupe from the 2001 Autoshow circuit. And while we’re not big fans of the X Coupe, we’ve always admired BMW’s fortitude to be so resolute about it. However, ten years on the car seems to be making more sense to the executives at Munich. This is where we’ll let the good Herr take over (via GCF):

Three factors – All Wheel Drive , 3dr Coupe body and a Commanding driving position. BMW have now initiated a brief for a potential sportier 3dr in the mold of the original Xcoupe Concept car. Porsche are moving quickly on their Cajun , Range Rover have the evoque and now BMW are looking into the potential of a model which was first shown ten years ago…
