From advanced paint facilities and engine foundries that create zero waste water BMW ‘s pursuit of environmentally sustainable manufacturing practices is a decades old effort though not publicized enough.A recent CNBC piece on waste briefly mentions BMW ‘s use of landfill methane gas to provide power for their South Carolina manufacturing facilities. The facility was recently upgraded with new turbines to improve efficiency to combat green house gases even more.
