Once each year, 200 pieces of rolling art roll onto the 18th green at Pebble Beach golf course. And every year we see distance images of perfect classic cars being presented by (normally) wealthy car enthusiasts in hopes of winning it all. But what about all the work and build-up to the moment?

Concours d ‘Elegance is arguably the most prestigous
automotive show of the season. And while the Quail (held the Friday before) is likely the more exclusive event, it ‘s hard to argue with the sheer amount of incredible metal on display.

As part of our continuing coverage of the week that was at Monterey, we wanted to give you a look at what happens behind the scenes at Pebble Beach. So we got in as early as we could Sunday (with eyes barely thanks to the previous Saturday night) and started pointing our camera every where we could. This is the result.
