Reuters is reporting that BMW is considering an engine partnership with Hyundai in order to create greater economies of scale for it ‘s three and four cylinder engines. The idea is that the two would share development costs of the next generation of small BMW and MINI engines but that the engines would still be engineered in Munich by BMW.

Unrelated (but always somehow related) the New York Times is reporting that China has now become BMW ‘s largest market with the US also up.
