Our friends at Axis had a brief encounter with an F80 M3 and a scale. The results are fascinating: 3562 pounds in US spec. The weight includes a full tank of gas, no driver, CFRP roof, manual transmission, 19″ wheels, LED headlight and HUD. Note it doesn’t include ceramic brakes.

How does that compare with the E90? Axis had an E90 M3 on the same scale recently and it rang up at 3736 lbs with similar options plus a DCT. That’s a full 174 lbs heavier. They’ve also had a manual E92 weigh in at 3585 lbs (with very little in the way of options).
