BMW M4 GTS Runs the ‘Ring in a Blistering 7:28

The BMW M4 GTS has just become the fastest BMW around the famed Nurburgring Nordschleife by a substantial margin. The standard M4 recently turned in an impressive 7:52 which in itself obliterated the 8:05 of the V8 based M3. The previous fastest BMW time belonged M3 GTS at 7:48 and the E46 CSL at 7:50.
About that 7:28 though. That’s fast. How fast? That beats a Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari 458 Italia and most of the Nissan GTRs. It also bests a Porsche 997 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Lexus LFA and even the Zonda F. One stats that is worth noting that isn’t as positive. It missed matching the new Porsche GT3’s time by just 3 seconds. However when you consider the size of the M4 and what it’s derived from (a four seat two door sedan with a trunk) that’s pretty damn impressive.
