Clear winners were the crossovers massive growth in X3 and X5 models. Despite the controversial grille, the new 4 Series also a huge increase in demand with a 117.8% increase over 2020. Also proving popular is the new MINI based 2 Series sedan. What’s particularly interesting is that those numbers don’t appear to be canabalizing 3 Series sales as much as feared with the latter only down 11.2% for the year.

Granted the the COVID shut down in the last few weeks of March 2020 likely have impacted all numbers and have served to put 2021 sales figures in a slightly better light. But there’s no denying that dealers are seeing a sense of enthuasim thus far for the year.
