As the world turns so does the intrigue around future BMW offerings. According to BimmerPost (amongst others) BMW is toying with the idea of building an X4 off of the soon to be released X3 platform. Like its larger cousin the X6, this new soft roader would be styled along the lines of a coupe (artist render above). If there is a market BMW will apparently build it at the newly upgraded Spartanburg facility in the good old US of A and launch it in 2014.
As we have reported previously, the 1 Series coupe is getting a little long in the tooth and is deserving of BMW ‘s customary Life Cycle Impulse- basically giving the lights more modern styling. These lights will debut with the 1M Coupe launch at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
We are actually going to go out on limb here and say that this latest spy photo from World Car Fans, which according to sources is from an accessories catalog, has us smiling a bit as BMW has once again given the 6 Series a sporty sophisticated look. The convertible will feature a soft top and wind deflecting rear window.
