We ‘ve heard rumblings of new BMWi concept for the past few months and now we ‘re getting official word it ‘s coming to LA. with the Detroit show focusing on more product centric debuts, LA is the perfect venue for an environmentally focused BMWi concept. Rumor has it we ‘ll see something along the lines of an i4 that combines the general look of the two door i8 with the i3 ‘s drivetrain and modified structure. >A new BMW i Concept vehicle will make its world debut and the BMW i8 Concept Roadster will make its North American auto show debut at the 2012 Los Angeles International Auto Show on Wednesday, November 28th at the BMW Stand at 3:10 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. PST at the Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 South Figueroa Street) in Los Angeles. The new BMW i Concept and BMW i8 Concept Roadster vehicles are the next generation of vehicles from BMW i, BMW’s brand dedicated to sustainability and future mobility. In addition, BMW will unveil the BMW Concept K2 Powder Ride for cold weather sports enthusiasts.

>The new BMW i Concept will join BMW i’s growing lineup of visionary concept vehicles which are purpose-built from the ground up as electric and hybrid electric and constructed primarily from lightweight carbon fiber. The first two vehicles under the BMW i brand, the BMW i3 and BMW i8 will come to market in 2013 and 2014, respectively. The BMW i8 Concept Roadster is an open-top two-seater featuring an athletic design and a sleek, low slung, silver and bright blue exterior. The i8 Concept Roadster operates with extremely low fuel consumption (78 mpg) and emissions output. It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds on the way to an electronically governed top speed of 155 mph.

>Just in time for the 2013 winter season BMW, in partnership with winter sports equipment supplier K2, will make the world debut of the BMW Concept K2 Powder Ride. Designed for cold weather sports enthusiasts the vehicle embodies both the surefooted and responsive driving characteristics of the BMW X1 and comes equipped with roof rails, door sill strips, a snowboard bag, all-weather floor mats, roof mounted Harman Kardon sound system, ambient lighting, and 18 ” alloy wheels.

>The automaker will also feature the newly updated 2013 BMW 7 Series which will set new benchmarks in its class for performance, luxury, efficiency and safety. New features include a selection of fuel-saving strategies like stop/start technology, regenerative braking and a driver selectable “eco” driving mode. The new 7 Series also boasts a revised exterior that include new technologies such as such as available LED headlights. The interior is similarly enhanced with a newly redesigned navigation system offering faster rendering and 3D maps, while i Drive gets a revised menu structure and enhanced voice commands.
