BMW 1M US Options & Ordering Information

With photos and details of the 1M out, our (and many of your) thoughts turn to pricing and specifications. Across the globe BMW will offer the same limited range of options with only standard equipment varying slightly. It ‘s all in an effort to keep costs down and the 1M as focused as possible. And more than anywhere that is true of the US market. We ‘ve managed to gather information around the standard and optional equipment list as well as the two packages BMW plans on offering. And perhaps more importantly the first date for order: December 20th.
Interior Spec
As expected the US 1 Series M Coupe features black Boston Leather sport seats with contrasting orange stitching as the only option. Furthering the motorsport look anthracite Alcantara covers the doors, instrument binnacle, dashboard strip, and lower console boots (also with orange contrasting stitching). The dark-themed materials perfectly fit the M tradition of providing the driver with a low-glare, all- business cockpit. Rounding out the interior are a new M instrument cluster, M steering wheel, driver footrest, entry sills, and shifter knob (which is taken directly from the E46 ZHP).
Exterior Spec
This is easy. The 1M comes in three colors: Valencia Orange Metallic (launch color), Black Sapphire Metallic, and the (very) classic Alpine White. The 19 ” Competition package wheels are standard. Otherwise there are no exterior options from the factory.
Standard Equipment and Options
The US market will feature Xenon Adaptive headlights, automatic climate, and hi-fi sound system among other standard equipment.
Beyond that BMW NA will be offering two packages on the 1M; Convenience and Premium. One nugget we ‘ve learned is that Navigation will be offered within the Convenience package. We ‘ll know more about the options within each soon.
Other than that the only option in the US will be heated seats.
Expect final details on each of the packages on the 20th when ordering guides hit US dealers. And yes if you ‘re on a list that would be a good time to firm up your order and confirm your spot in line as the BMW Order Bank will be opening that day for the 1M.
