BMW is about to get a new range topping 7 Series. The M760li was recently leaked on BMW’s own configurator with no specs attached. Luckily we’ve reached out to our sources and found a few nuggets. The M760li (yes long wheel base only) will make use of a thoroughly updated twin turbo V12 producing over 600 hp and what is likely an enormous amount of torque. Along with the monster power output BMW M have gone through the car and re-calibrated the suspension, brakes and engine electronics to produce a faster, more driver oriented car.

The M760li will come standard with the M Sport treatment along with some exclusive Ferric Grey trim pieces to subtly distinguish further.

We’ve known for some time that BMW was working on a M Performance version of the 7 Series but it wasn’t clear which engine would be used. With the use of the V12 BMW is clearly signaling an intention to go after the ultra high-end of the market dominated by the Mercedes S65 AMG – a car that is in surprisingly demand these days.

Performance figures should boggle the mind given the size and weight of the car. A top speed governed at 155mph is a given but we weren’t be surprised to see a 0-60 time of around 4 seconds.

BMW will likely publicly introduce the M760li at the Geneva Motorshow later this winter with sales starting shortly thereafter.
