The all new 2019 BMW X5 is here today we have our best look yet at the new SAV. We’re calling the new X5 an aggressive evolutionary over the existing X5. But there are clear areas of reinvention here as well. The new chassis is lighter, stronger yet larger in all dimensions. That coupled with evolutionary changes in drivetrain and infotainment have created a product looks formabidle in every way.
Despite its price point, the X5 has been consistently at or near the top of the sales chart of BMW N.A. for well over a year. And that’s FIVE YEARS into its model cycle all without a refresh. And let’s talk about that lack of refresh or LCI. BMW decided against spending time and money on subtle styling and engineering tweaks so it could accelerate its effort to bring the new CLAR based X5 to market.
Here are some further highlights:
- New BMW TwinPower turbo engines, 335hp 3.0L 6-cylinder and 456hp 4.4L 8-cylinder
- New Optional Off-Road – Package with air suspension and new rear locking differential.
- New standard BMW Live Cockpit Professional with two 12.3-inch digital displays.
- New standard Active Driving Assistant and optional factory Remote Engine Start.
The all new X5 should hit dealers early this fall.
