Today BMW of North America announced a new partnership with Shell Recharge Solutions, a virtual Mobility Service Provider (vMSP) that offers access to multiple charging networks across the U.S. and Canada. This partnership will allow BMW drivers to easily find, access, and pay for charging at over 100,000 public charging points via the My BMW app, without the need to create separate accounts or use separate apps for each charging provider.

BMW Charging is a comprehensive service that provides BMW customers with convenient and flexible solutions for charging their electric vehicles. BMW Charging includes access to complimentary charging with Electrify America, the largest network of fast chargers in the U.S., as well as the BMW Charging Card, which offers discounted rates at participating charging stations. BMW Charging also integrates with the BMW ConnectedDrive system, which displays the charging status, range, and nearby charging options on the vehicle’s dashboard and navigation screen.

Shell Recharge Solutions is a new offering from Shell, a global leader in energy and mobility solutions. Shell Recharge Solutions leverages the existing networks of ChargePoint, EVgo, EVConnect, and Blink, as well as Shell’s own Shell Recharge stations, to provide a seamless and convenient charging experience for electric vehicle drivers. Shell Recharge Solutions also offers benefits such as carbon offsetting, loyalty rewards, and customer support.

With this new agreement, BMW Charging and Shell Recharge Solutions aim to create a premium ownership experience for BMW customers, by making the charging process as simple and convenient as possible. BMW of North America is committed to supporting the transition to electric mobility and providing innovative solutions for its customers.

BMW’s current electric vehicle lineup includes the BMW i4 Gran Coupe, BMW i5 Sedan, and BMW i7 Sedan, as well as the BMW iX Sports Activity Vehicle.  The company also offers five plug-in hybrid electric models including the BMW 330e Sedan, BMW 550e Sedan, BMW 750e Sedan, BMW X5 xDrive50e Sports Activity Vehicle and the BMW XM.
