Today BMW has officially announced the prices for the all new F15 X5, the first generation X5 to be offered in rear wheel drive as a base model. Admission to the X5 club is steep on the upper end, the 2014 BMW X5 xDrive50i will start at $69,125 while the base model is much more reasonable if you don ‘t mind not having all four wheels powered as the 2014 X5 sDrive35i will start at $53,725. The 2014 BMW X5 xDrive35i is priced at $56,025 and the 2014 BMW X5 xDrive35d price is $57,525 to round out the base pricing for all the variants in the lineup.

Newly-standard equipment for the X5 includes, but is not limited to, BMW’s Auto Start-Stop system, BMW’s iDrive 4.2 Navigation System with Touchpad, 10 years of BMW Assist eCall service, 10 years of BMW TeleService, BMW Apps, 40-20-40 split-folding rear seat, and now standard Servotronic speed-sensitive power steering.

While pricing may have seemed to creep up more than expected, let ‘s be honest and say that there is more standard features and the interior materials look to be a big step up in the luxury department.
