World Premier: The BMW 2 Series Gets Tech and Design Updates

The 2025 BMW 2 Series Coupe is here with key changes to technology, design and options. For 2025 the 2 Series will offer new paint finishes, alloy wheels, steering wheels, and interior trim. Additionally the two door coupe will come equipped with the new BMW iDrive with QuickSelect and digital services based on the BMW Operating System 8.5.
2025 BMW 230i | $39,200 |
2025 BMW 230i xDrive | $41,200 |
2025 BMW M240i | $50,100 |
2025 BMW M240i xDrive | $52,100 |
The updated BMW Curved Display now features iDrive 8.5 with QuickSelect. This includes a 12.3-inch Information Display and a 14.9-inch Control Display, offering a seamless and intuitive digital experience. You can control functions like climate settings, seat heating, and steering wheel heating through touch or voice commands. In theory the digital shift reduces the number of physical buttons and gives the interior a cleaner look. However in our experience it’s slightly slower to get to many settings
The 2025 BMW 2 Series Coupe has new paint options, including metallic shades like Vegas Red and Skyscraper Grey, and BMW Individual finishes like Frozen Pure Grey and Frozen Portimao Blue II. New 19-inch alloy wheels are available and the M Sport Professional Package adds exterior touches like M Shadow Line lights, a black M rear spoiler, and red or blue M Sport brakes.
Inside, new steering wheel design and seat surfaces add a bit more sportiness. The M leather steering wheel now features a flat-bottomed rim and BMW M tricolor stitching – like the M2. Standard heated sports seats come in four colors of perforated SensaTec, including the new Tacora Red, and four colors of Vernasca leather, including Black with Red Highlight. Interior trims now include options like M Fine Brushed Aluminum, Fineline Light Open-pore, and Carbon Fiber.
The 2025 BMW 2 Series Coupe features BMW Operating System 8.5 with QuickSelect for easy and quicker controls. The system includes a new home screen and a vertical bar of widgets for quick access to functions without navigating through submenus. The BMW Maps navigation system offers precise route guidance and can be enhanced with the Augmented View function, providing real-time information and directional arrows on a live video feed.
The 2025 BMW M2 has a worldwide launch commencing in August 2024 with cars hitting dealers in September.
