The BMW Z4 GTE Debuts with the Newly Structured BMW Team RLL

BMW is embarking on a new chapter of its motorsport commitment in North America: after four successful years with the BMW M3 GT, the new BMW Z4 GTE will take over at the head of the manufacturer’s campaign in the 2013 American Le Mans Series (ALMS). On Tuesday, BMW Motorsport and BMW Team RLL presented the car and drivers for the new season at the “Daytona International Speedway” (US).

M235i Production Details and Timeline

The 2 Series is coming. But perhaps more importantly for BF readers the M235i right behind it. According to sources August of 2013 will mark the start of production for the F22 2 Series rear wheel drive coupe. The successor to the 1 Series, the 2 series will see a slight increase in size and a slight decrease in weight. It will also see the introduction of a M Performance Line version of the small BMW coupe to be called the M235i. And thanks to some digging similar to what we did with the 4 Series we\'ve uncovered some data (and dates) around the new M235i.

Lead Mercedes AMG Engineer Heading to BMW M

According to <a href=\"http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/mercedes-amg-loses-chassis-guru-bmw-m\">Autocar</a> Arnd Meyer, the man behind all chassis engineering for AMG has left to join BMW M. According to sources meyer will lead all chassis, powertrain, electrics and electronics development in future BMW M models likely starting <em>after</em> the upcoming M3/M4.
