Video: M235i Bombing the ‘Ring

The M tweaked 235i coupe is said to be a quantum leap in terms of dynamics from the 135i according to well placed sources. From this video we would have to agree that it appears to be more hunkered down and sorted than its predecessor. Try to ignore the exhaust- it's no where near final. Expect the new 2 series to bow at the Detroit auto show and the M235i being the only six cylinder offered.

The BMW Concept X5 eDrive

BMW introduces the idea of a plugin hybrid SAV. BMW is using the 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA) to present the logical next step towards landmark efficiency in the SAV segment. The BMW Concept X5 eDrive combines the brand of driving pleasure for which the xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system is renowned and a luxurious ambience within the variable-use interior with a plug-in hybrid drive concept. Its innovative BMW eDrive technology guarantees the hallmark sporting ability of a BMW, while at the same time opening the door to speeds of up to 120 km/h (75 mph), a maximum range of 30 kilometres (19 miles) on electric power alone and average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle of 3.8 litres per 100 kilometres.

BMW 328d Fuel Economy Numbers are In!

It's not official from BMW but the EPA's <a href="http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find.do?action=sbs&id=34050">FuelEconomy.gov</a> website has released some info on the all new to the US 328d variants. We've been impressed with the numbers our 120d has achieved and have expected the 328d stateside to impress just as well (basically the same 4 pot oil burner).
