BMW Takes WSBK Victory By a Nose at Monza

The BMW Motorrad GoldBet SBK Team is back on winning ways. Factory rider Marco Melandri (ITA) rode his BMW S 1000 RR to victory in race one today and in race two, Marco was once again one of the front runners and finished second, claiming the fastest race lap. His team-mate Chaz Davies (GBR) finished fifth in the first race, but crashed out of race two, once again, lying in fifth.

BMW Motorrad WSBK Preview: Monza

The next round of the 2013 FIM Superbike World Championship marks the first of three home rounds for the German-Italian BMW Motorrad GoldBet SBK Team. The fourth round of the season will see the series head to the iconic “Autodromo Nazionale di Monza” in the north of Italy this weekend (10th to 12th May). The race track is located close to the Milan headquarters of BMW Motorrad Italia, which is responsible for the works teams’ race and test outings as well as the chassis development.
