Fantastic start to the 2013 DTM season for BMW Motorsport: at the end of the 42 laps, Augusto Farfus (BR) won the opening race in Hockenheim (DE) at the wheel of the Castrol EDGE BMW M3 DTM. This was the BMW Team RBM driver’s second DTM victory, following his triumph in Valencia (ES) in 2012. A wonderful drive and a strategic tour de force saw BMW Team Schnitzer’s Dirk Werner (DE) fight back brilliantly from 20th on the grid to finish runner-up in the SAMSUNG BMW M3 DTM.

Most notably, Triumph\'s Tiger 800. Now the F 800 GS\'s reputation for rugged and approachable capability can continue to build with a refreshed F 800 GS Adventure for 2013.
With spring finally arriving across the USA, April sales numbers for BMW\'s motorcycle division are strong — up 31.6% for the month and up 12.8% year-to-date. Key areas of growth include sales of the S 1000 RR, which outright doubled its sales volume; and F 800 GT, which saw growth of 58% over April 2012.
“The solid April results are a good set-up for the months ahead as BMW transitions to model year 2014 with a range of new models coming to market,” said Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America. “Our dealers are reporting a sizeable increase in business and we expect to see even more in May and June.”
