“This was a brilliant Saturday for BMW racers,” said Gordon McDonnell, BMWNA Motorsport Manager. “Congratulations to Brendon and Scott for their first career Rolex win and to everyone at Turner Motorsport for their first GT class double podium. A second consecutive 1-2-3 finish in Street Tuner is outstanding and further validation for the legendary BMW 3 Series as one of the best all-round cars in the world.”

Arguably the best American track is hosting arguably the best American racing series this weekend and we’ve been roaming the pits all day. While...

We don’t always copy and paste press releases from race teams but this is one of note. First off Bimmerworld Racing knows their stuff...

More than five years ago we inaugurated this site with a review of the 2008 BMW 135i. This car represented BMW going back to...

Right on the heals of very impressive sales numbers for the US market, worldwide numbers came out today and BMW Motorrad sales are up. Way up. Sales just for July were up +10.9%, and year-to-date sales were up nearly as much at +9.9%. This amidst an otherwise stagnant powersports industry.

Due for the public debut at the Frankfurt Motorshow (shortly after its internet debut) the i8 is finally upon us. After years of seeing...

All BMWs now come with a rocker that allows drivers to switch from through various drive settings ranging typically from ECO Pro to comfort to sport. On the i3 that "sport" setting is notably absent. When I saw that Monday I was taken aback. The idea of "sport" is such an essential part of BMW's DNA it seemed at odds with any product that wore the roundel. But after learning more about the program and talking with a few BMW representatives, the idea of a sporty i3 seems less of an "if" than a "when".

Yet another month of stellar sales growth for BMW Motorcycles in the USA in July. Overall sales were up +31.1% over a year ago, and year-to-date sales grew by +21.3% with 1,346 total units sold in July. For 2013 so far, BMW USA has sold nearly two thousand more motorcycles this year vs. last year.

Big month for BMW as it gears up for its now annual show-down with Mercedes in the US sales race. Notes of interest: The 1 Series is up a staggering 60% this month over last year. Also showing well are the 3 Series and Z4. Interestingly the X1 (classified not as a light truck mind you) is outselling the X3 and isn't far off the X5. Interesting considering that BMWNA had thought about not bringing it to the US market. Not surprising to us. In our recent time with the crossover we were blown away by the value prop and overall performance. Now, onto the numbers...

It's not official from BMW but the EPA's FuelEconomy.gov website has released some info on the all new to the US 328d variants. We've been impressed with the numbers our 120d has achieved and have expected the 328d stateside to impress just as well (basically the same 4 pot oil burner).

BMW has launched the i3 with a full court press of marketing, and we can't blame them as they usher in a new era of urban mobility. The videos cover everything from design to support services such as access to an X5 when needed for longer journeys.
